Mainland New York buys exactly like our home market: one pallet at a flat, everything-included price (pre-tax), or per-square-foot rates that drop as the lawn gets bigger. Tall Fescue adds $.10/sq ft; RTF is custom-quoted. Most Westchester and Hudson Valley orders deliver 2–7 days out.

“If you are looking for sod in the New England area this is the place to go. My son and his family recently moved to Claremont NH and needed sod. Due to his busy schedule and being new to the area and not being able to find a local installer I planned a trip from NC to install it for him. The ordering process was easy and I believe Kayla was helpful on the phone explaining different grass options and what would work best for the area. She scheduled the sod delivery about a month out for me which allowed me to time plan my short weekend trip. On delivery day things did not go as planned due to situations beyond CT Sod’s control. I was updated by Sean throughout the day regarding the issues and his plans to make it happen. Unfortunately it did not. Sean promised to make it right and realized I had a made a special trip up for the install. I did not get to install sod that weekend but Sean and CT Sod went above and beyond to make the issue right. Sod was delivered and installed a few days after I arrived home and the quality and customer service was above and beyond. The sod looked so good people who were driving by have been inquiring to my son about where it was from and commenting how great it looks. Shout out to CT Sod for making a bad situation into a great one. As a general contractor in NC I wish we had vendors like these folks who do the right thing without being asked!!!”

How much is a pallet of sod in New York?
In Westchester and the Hudson Valley, one 500 sq ft pallet of Kentucky Bluegrass blend is $699 all-in, pre-tax, delivered — 600 sq ft is $749. On Long Island and in the Hamptons there's no single-pallet flat: orders start at 1,200 sq ft and price per square foot with a $0.30/sq ft island surcharge.
Why is Long Island priced differently?
Bridge tolls, island traffic, and longer route hours are real costs, so LI and Hamptons orders carry a 1,200 sq ft minimum and a per-square-foot surcharge instead of pretending they cost the same as a Westchester drop. Is the sod really fresh by the time it reaches the East End?
Yes — that's exactly why we harvest the same morning your order ships. Even a Montauk run has your pallets down within hours of leaving the field. We've laid 4,500 sq ft at a Montauk new-build that way — cut at dawn, green and knitting by the weekend.
Which sod should I buy in New York?
The all-around pick is our Bluegrass-Fescue Blend — our most popular pallet — pairing the KBG estate look with tall fescue's drought tolerance. Out on Long Island and the East End, sandy soil and salt air tip the scales toward Tall Fescue or RTF.
