Schedule the harvest

Sod is cut the morning of install. Most Hamptons jobs go in 2–7 days from order — sooner in shoulder season, longer in peak summer if we're slammed.

Prep + install

Our crew rolls onto the South Fork, lays the sod on prepped soil, and tucks edges around pool aprons, vineyard borders, and motor courts.

How fast can you get sod to a Hamptons site in season?

Most Hamptons installs go in within 2–7 days of order, with same-day harvest from our farm so the sod is cut, loaded, and on your soil before it dries out. In peak summer (showings, weddings, Memorial Day through Labor Day) we recommend booking earlier — high-end estate jobs on Meadow Lane, Further Lane, and Daniels Lane fill the calendar fast.

What sod do you install on Hamptons estates?

For the multi-acre estate lawns most of our Hamptons clients want, we install Tall Fescue or a Bluegrass-Fescue blend — both hold up to sandy South Fork soils, salt air, and the irrigation patterns common on Meadow Lane and Further Lane oceanfront properties. For shadier inland blocks (Northwest Woods, Shinnecock Hills, Scuttle Hole) the blend performs best.

Do you work with landscape architects and Hamptons builders?

Yes. A large share of our Hamptons work comes through landscape architects, GCs, and spec-home builders running new construction or pre-listing punch lists. We coordinate delivery windows around site access, motor court closures, and crane schedules, and we handle the install ourselves so the GC isn't chasing a separate sub.

What happens if the sprinklers fail and the sod burns up?

We've handled this. On a $13.95M waterfront spec on Tara Road in Montauk, the sprinklers didn't kick on after install and the sod cooked over a hot weekend. Do you install sod on weekends in the Hamptons?
