Bridgehampton is the agricultural heart of the South Fork — the open potato-field landscape that turned into the largest estate parcels in the Hamptons, with the Ocean Road and Sagg Main corridor running straight to the Atlantic, Mecox Bay and the Mecox neighborhood to the southwest, the Sagaponack border to the east, and the historic Main Street with its 19th-century commercial block. Soils here are noticeably richer than Southampton or East Hampton — old farm-belt loam over sandy subsoil, which holds water and feeds turf better than the pure outwash a few miles either side. Deer pressure is heavy in the field-edge properties; salt-wind reaches a mile inland on the south wind.
CT Sod has been delivering and installing sod across the South Fork for years. Pallets are cut to order at the farm the morning of your install, hauled out to the East End, placed exactly where you need them by all-terrain forklift — even past a security gate or down a few hundred feet of private drive — and laid by crews whose only job is sod, not general landscaping.
Your sod is cut at the farm the morning of installation — never stockpiled. Fresh sod establishes faster and handles the transplant stress that finishes a stockpiled pallet within a week of delivery.
Ocean Road, Sagg Main, Mecox, Halsey Lane, Hayground, Mecox Bay frontage, the historic Main Street corridor, and the field-block estates south of the highway — we install across every Bridgehampton neighborhood and know the field-block driveway access and variety calls for the loamy farm soil before we get there.
Estate parcels here sit deep behind long field-block drives with gated entries common along the Ocean Road and Sagg Main corridor. Our all-terrain forklifts make the run from the truck to wherever your crew is working — not stranded at the road.
On the East End we run install-only — you (or your landscaper) handle the prep, and our crew shows up with the sod and lays it tight. The Hamptons surcharge applies on orders over 1,200 sq ft; full-service prep + install is available across CT and Westchester.
Every install is scoped per project — square footage, access, variety call for the loamy field soil and south-wind salt exposure, install window against summer Route 27 traffic. You get a written quote with the work and inclusions spelled out before crews are scheduled.
Most Bridgehampton installs are part of a larger landscape build managed by a local crew. We work as the sod supplier and install specialist — same fresh-cut product, same install standard you'd get on a Greenwich or Westchester job.

Two Years Post-Install — A Hamptons Reference
These videos came in four years after we installed tall fescue across a multi-acre property in Water Mill — the next village west of Bridgehampton — sent unprompted by the customer. Audio is stripped at the customer's request. Same loamy farm-belt soil as most of Bridgehampton, same salt-wind exposure off Mecox Bay, same long-driveway estate setup. This is what fresh-cut Tall Fescue does on a property like yours after the install crew is long gone — through four summers, four winters, and the salt-wind shoulder seasons in between.

The pool area and yard you see is sod we redid for free before the showing — sprinklers failed to kick on after install and burned out the first lay, so we hauled it away and re-laid it on our dime.
