Lincoln County is classic Midcoast Maine — the tidal river villages of Damariscotta, Newcastle, and Wiscasset, the long Boothbay and Pemaquid (Bristol) peninsulas reaching out to the sea, and inland Waldoboro. The inland villages sit on better river-valley soil (roughly USDA zone 5b–6a) with little direct salt, while the peninsula tips are rocky and salt-exposed. That makes our balanced bluegrass-fescue blend the versatile default, with deep-rooted, salt-tolerant fescue for the exposed peninsula lots and wooded yards.
