1,000 square feet is about 2.2 pallets of sod (standard Northeast pallets cover 450 sq ft each). Here is the honest 2026 cost breakdown across our service region.

Material only (you install)

• Standard Kentucky bluegrass / KBG-fescue blend: $0.65 to $0.95 per sq ft = $650 to $950.
• Premium tall fescue / RTF: $1.10 to $1.50 per sq ft = $1,100 to $1,500.
• Fine fescue shade blend: $1.20 to $1.65 per sq ft = $1,200 to $1,650.

You'll order 3 pallets to cover 1,000 sq ft because sod farms sell in full pallets and you need waste cuts. The extra ~350 sq ft is real material you can use to patch other areas of the property.
